May Springs Recreation Area
May Springs Recreation Area and Campground was once operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). It is currently operated by Greenlee Campground, which operates another campground facility as well. Offering overnight and seasonal rates, the campground has primitive campsites as well as full hookup sites.
A full-service campground, May Springs has a full service dock with open and covered slips. It has a store with bait and tackle, snacks, drinks, ice and gasoline. There is a bathhouse facility, two launch ramps, rental cabins, a dumping station, a swimming area with a sandy beach, coin laundry, a campstore with a deli, covered sheds that can be rented for groups and gatherings, volleyball courts, basketball courts and more located on more than 100 acres.

The campground is on lake point six. It is a prime spot for fishing and boating. Cabin rentals are also available on site. Rental cabins are available for $85 per night. They provide room for relaxing with a porch and rocker, heat and air, satellite TV, picnic tables and charcoal grills, a full bathroom and a kitchen.
May Springs is one of three Greenlee Campgrounds. The other properties are the original Greenlee Campground and Greenlee of Fall Creek Campground.
